Countdown timers for your email and your website

One deadline has to appear in two places: inside the campaign you send, and on the page it links to. PRO gives you both from a single countdown.

Email GIF countdown timer

An email cannot run a live clock, so the deadline has to arrive as a picture. PRO renders yours as an animated GIF that is redrawn every time the message is opened — a reader who comes back tomorrow sees tomorrow’s time left, from code you pasted once.

Design: Split

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, end-of-season — a deadline the reader can see beats a deadline they have to read about. The image re-renders on every open, so it is always right.

Every style, any colour

Each design pairs with the full theme palette, so the digits and the box take your brand colour. Contrast is checked on render, so digits stay readable on light and dark templates alike.

Works with every major email platform

The email embed is an ordinary image tag pointing at a hosted, animated GIF. Any platform that lets you paste HTML, or set a custom image source, can send it — which is effectively all of them.

Nothing runs on their side, so there is no integration to authorise and no account to connect. A countdown behaves the same in a one-off broadcast as it does inside an automated flow.

  • No plugin, no app install, and nothing added to your sending domain.
  • A plain image tag, so it survives the editor rewriting your HTML.
  • Unlimited views on PRO, however large the send.
  • Change the design or the deadline after the campaign has gone out.

Website embed countdown timer

The same deadline, live on the page your campaign points at. Copy one embed into your site and the countdown renders from our side — so you can restyle it, or move the deadline, without republishing the page or shipping a deploy.

These are a few of the designs in the builder, and each one changes again with the theme behind it — the theme gives a design every colour it does not set for itself. Digit size, spacing, radius, borders, box size, and every colour stay editable, and you can add your own CSS when a design system needs exact values.

Works with every major website builder

The website embed is a standard frame. If your builder has an embed, code, or custom-HTML block — and effectively all of them do — you can paste it in and publish.

Because the timer renders from our side, the page you paste it into stays static. Change the countdown design later and the live page picks it up on its own.

  • No plugin, no theme edit, and no build step.
  • Responsive by default, so it fits the column you drop it into.
  • Ad-free and unwatermarked, with custom CSS for an exact match.
  • Loads in its own frame, so it cannot slow the rest of your page.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs itself

The same three steps whichever surface you are publishing to. After that the timer keeps itself correct — you never re-send an email or republish a page to fix a deadline.

  1. 1

    Set the deadline

Pick a date and timezone, or an evergreen window that starts when each person first sees it.

  2. 2

    Choose a design

Pick a style for email or the web, then change every colour, size and spacing value to match your brand.

  3. 3

    Copy the code

An image tag for your campaign, a frame for your page. Paste once — changes you make later follow it.

Included

What comes with both

Neither surface is a separate product. Everything below applies whether the countdown is going into an inbox, onto a page, or both.

Evergreen deadlines

Give every visitor their own window — 48 hours from the moment they arrive — instead of one shared date. The timer is per person, so an automated sequence stays urgent months after you wrote it.

Campaign analytics

See views for each countdown, split by where they came from, plus the pages your embed is actually running on. That last one tells you which placements are working without asking anyone.

Brand control

No CountdownShare mark on anything you publish. Set the palette, the type, the spacing, and drop into custom CSS when a design system needs exact values.

One deadline, every surface

The email image, the website embed, and the shareable page all read from the same countdown. Move the deadline once and every surface agrees.

Ad-free delivery

Nothing is served alongside your countdown. What your customer sees is your campaign and nothing else.

Built to paste

An image tag for email, a frame for the web. No plugin, no build step, and no code that a marketing editor can accidentally break.

Common questions

How does a countdown timer work inside an email?
Email clients cannot run a live clock, so the timer arrives as an animated image. CountdownShare hosts it and redraws it on every open, which means the time left is correct each time the message is viewed rather than frozen at the moment you sent it.
Which email platforms does it work with?
Any platform that lets you paste HTML or set a custom image source — Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, SendGrid, GetResponse, MailerLite and Constant Contact among them. Nothing is installed on their side.
Which website builders does the embed work with?
Any builder with an embed, code, or custom-HTML block: Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, Framer, Ghost, BigCommerce and more. There is no plugin and no build step.
Can I change the design after a campaign has gone out?
Yes. Both the image and the embed render from our side, so changing the design or the deadline updates what people see without re-sending the email or republishing the page.
What is an evergreen countdown?
A deadline measured from each visitor’s first view rather than a fixed calendar date, so an automated sequence keeps its urgency however long ago you built it.
Does the timer slow my page down?
The website embed loads lazily in its own frame, so it cannot block the rest of your page. The email version is a single image request.
